Eurovision şarkı yarışmasını Sırbistan'ın kazanması, İngilizleri adeta isyan ettirdi. Ancak en ağır eleştiri,
Times gazetesinde Robbie Millen imzasıyla çıktı.

"Eurovision dünya çapında eşcinsellerin federasyon kupasına dönüştü" diyen Millen, böyle bir yarışmada birincinin bir travesti tarafından temsil edilen Ukrayna olması gerektiğini yazdı.

Millen, Kenan Doğulu'yu da ağır bir dille eleştirmekten geri kalmadı. Doğulu'ya ironiyle karışık atıfta bulunan gazete,
"Kendi pırıltısından etkilenip kalça sallayıp sıçrayarak Türkiye'nin Ricky Martin'i rolüne soyunan Kenan Doğulu'yu
seyretmek eğlenceli değil miydi?

Herhalde Türkler Ricky Martin'i hiç görmemiş olmalı" diye yazdı.
